Recently, I was talking with someone who used to work for a major drug company. Among the comments he made was the fact that the drug testing isn’t what it should be before drugs are released to the public.
This is scary.
Unfortunately, I grew up in a household where the answer for pain or illness was to take a pill. And I’m sorry to say have told my own kids that many times.
I know on occasion there are holistic alternatives to taking a pill, but there is a fine line of what will work for certain issues and what will not.
Honestly, I don’t like to take prescription medicine, but the reality is I do. None of my meds is life-saving but are for my quality of life. If they were not available anymore, I would survive.
There are so many commercials on TV today for different drugs. That is the world we live in, and I don’t think it’s going to change. But the side effects they list are atrocious! We often joke and say, “stop taking (drug name) if it kills you!”
Drugs are good though. I know they help so many people and without them, those people would not be alive.
God has given us the ability to think and invent so many things including drugs, so we aught to use them if they will help us.
So, whether you believe in drugs or like to go the homeopathic way, at least we have something we can try to make ourselves feel better.
