We are cynical about a lot of things whether we realize it or not. Unfortunately, homelessness is one of them. I confess, I am describing myself when it come to being cynical about homeless people. I think a lot about this and my feelings about the homeless.
What do you think when you see the same homeless people day after day, month after month, on the same corner with their cardboard signs?
Do you wonder why they are there? Do you wonder what happened in their lives?
I know some are legitimately homeless. I know some are mentally disabled. But I also know some are not.
In Matthew 25, Jesus said if we help the least of these, we are helping Him.
So, whatever we do is between us and God. If we give, whatever we give is between them and God.
