Trouble

Trouble. We all have it sometimes. It’s meaning can be different to people and situations.

I find the definitions interesting. Trouble – difficulty or problems; public unrest or disorder; cause distress or anxiety to.

The first, difficulty or problems, we have all faced and perhaps go through daily from choices we make or others make that effect us.

The second, public unrest, we are witnessing on the news every day as protests gather in almost every city.

The third, to cause distress or anxiety, can be caused by our kids making bad choices, our own choices, or what satan throws at us.

But….

Jesus said in John 14:1-4 – Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.

It’s hard not to let our hearts feel troubled. I have learned the hard way how much being troubled and worrying affects my health. I have permanent issues from letting myself feel troubled for too long. It’s something I repent of and ask forgiveness for daily. I have to live with those consequences for the rest of my life.

But….there is hope!

My hope is in Jesus! He is the only Way to get out of trouble. He has gone to prepare our rooms, and He is the only Way to get there.

He’s coming back and all things will be new.

I pray we are ready when He comes!
