These days we see and hear a lot of quotes on Facebook and other social media . One of them is the saying, “If God brings you to it, then He’ll bring you through it.” And I believe it is true.
But what if He didn’t bring me to it? What if it was my own stupid decisions? What if it was me that took those steps to get me where I am? What if I was the one who got there, woke up, and realized I had taken the wrong steps?
Perhaps then the saying might be, “If God didn’t bring you to it, then you’ll have to find a way to get through it.”
I believe God will still help in those times when we’ve made a complete bungle of everything. I picture Him perhaps looking at us, shaking His head with a knowing, loving smile of a Father, and reaching down to pick us up out of the muck and the mire we’ve made of our lives.
