Before the Throne

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. For those of you who have reached out to wonder why, I say thank you. I will try to do my best to blog more!

Have you ever sat in worship and just looked around at everyone? Wonder what they are thinking and feeling? Wonder what their lives are like? Wonder what problems they are facing?

I did this yesterday during one of the most beautiful, touching songs. I’ve linked it below.

Yes, we were (most of us) sitting with our masks covering out mouths, but perhaps that makes us sing out louder. I looked around to see if I was the only person this song touched. I wanted to see if I was the only one with tears running down my face as I listened to the words.

I wasn’t.

There were at least 5 of us wiping our eyes. We weren’t sad. Our tears didn’t fall because we were unhappy. Quite the opposite.

Knowing those of us who were too choked up to sing, I believe we were thankful.

Thankful to Jesus for His death. I don’t deserve it. I am not pure enough to go before the throne.

But I am if I go through Christ!
