During this week before we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, we see signs of it everywhere. There are shows on TV about Him. There are things for sale at stores that remind us that it’s getting close to Easter.
But I hope that most of all the reminder is in our hearts not just these few days but all of the time. I know people do lent, and we celebrate Easter getting baskets and gifts for our kids and dressing up in our best for worship service on Easter Sunday, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But we need to remember Christ’s death and resurrection every day of our lives.
After all, it was for us that He went through all He did that week and certainly His death. As our Sunday school class teacher reminded us, it was certainly painful for Jesus to die, but one thing to remember is that He was totally alone during that time.
Alone! Think about that.
