I believe the Bible is God’s love story to and for us. But I also believe the Bible and its many verses are for our comfort.
Lately, as I see the signs of myself growing older, it is even more comforting.
One verse in particular I found has become one of my favorites.
Isaiah 46:4 says: Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
God’s promises don’t run out as my hair turns gray. As my joints ache, He is the One who will sustain me. When I don’t think I can make it an inch more, He will carry me. At the end of my life, He will rescue me.
Today, may you find the love story from God to you, comforting.
