As a Christ follower living in this fallen world, we often see the worst in ourselves and others. Sometimes we see it happening, and other times we wake up and wonder how we arrived where we are.
Yesterday, I was talking with some ladies I’ve known for over 20 years. Even though we don’t talk much because we live in different states, I still consider them my friends because of all the experiences we shared when we lived in the same town.
One of them shared some trouble she’d had with her daughter, and we all commented that we all have issues when raising our kids.
Then, one of my other friends said, “I know sometimes it feels like when you’re watching a scary movie and the people go into a dark room or back into the house where the scary person is and you’re yelling at the screen but you know they’re not gonna listen.”
How true her words! Watching someone you love so much walking into that dark place or opening that door IS like watching a scary movie and you’re yelling, “Don’t do it!” But there’s nothing you can do about it.
Except one thing.
Pray God brings you, your kids, or whoever it is, back into the right way, His way. He is faithful to the end!
