Reminders

I have a love/hate relationship with the Reminder app on my phone.

I love that I can use it to remind me of times I need to do something. I remember things better when I write them down, and I don’t have to as much when I use this app.

However, I don’t like it because it reminds me of my physical faults. I have it set to remind me to eat and take my meds. It reminds me to eat small 6 times a day. That gets old very quickly!

We have a lot of reminders throughout each day of our lives whether we see them or not. It may not be our phones dinging or buzzing. Perhaps it’s not our computers notifying us, but they are there all the same.

I think God reminds us He is still here. He wants to hear from us. He wants us to stop and be reminded of what is really important.

It’s not the ding to remember to eat. It’s not the buzz to get to the next scheduled meeting. It’s not the chime to take medicine.

It’s the sunset, the birds tweeting, the change of seasons, and the breeze in our hair (if you have any!).
