Strength

It is said there are no atheists in a fox hole. Think about that for a minute.

When you need it, when the battle is raging, where do you get your strength?

The first place we should go is to the One who strengthens our souls. Psalm 138 verse 3 says, On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased.

I love the song Your Love Defends Me. We are in a battle. Each and every day we are attacked spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Do you feel it? I do!

Perhaps satan is asking God to sift you, and indeed, you are being sifted right now.

Above all, if our souls are strengthened by the One who gave it to us, by the One who knows exactly what we need, we can survive any sifting satan throws our way!

Surely my God is the strength of my soul! His love defends me!
