God’s Hand

My Daddy’s hands were so soft! Even though he worked a lot around the house and on our cars, you could rub his hand and feel its smoothness and softness.

I often think of God this way, like my Daddy. I had a great Daddy. He wasn’t perfect by any means, but I loved him so! I know some people didn’t have a good Daddy, and I am sorry for them.

I can remember holding my Daddy’s hand or having his hand on my back guiding me.

I wonder if that is what Ezra felt when it says in chapter 7, ‘the hand of God was upon him.’ It’s amazing to see the Holy Spirit working even back then. Did Ezra feel burdened with God’s hand? I doubt it. I think he felt uplifted, like he could do anything!

That is what we should feel like today. As Christians we should feel God’s hand upon us. We should feel His presence with us helping us every second of every day.

I don’t know about you, but I need that Hand. Like when I was a child and my Daddy had his hand on my back guiding me along the right pathway so I would not get lost, I need that Hand from my Heavenly Father.
