Empty Words

How many times have we been tempted by others who try to get us to do something we know isn’t right in God’s eyes? Maybe it’s to gossip. Maybe it’s to get angry. Maybe it’s to curse. Maybe it’s something worse.

In Ephesians 5 Paul talks about not being sexually immoral. In today’s world this is rampant. No one is perfect. All sin is sin, but each thing we do wrong has a consequence.

Paul admonishes us in verse 6:  Let no one deceive you with empty words. Often times that is exactly what happens. But if we are listening with hearts, eyes, and ears focused on God, we will see that those who speak evil, speak empty words.

Be wise. Look carefully how we walk.
