Holy Water

It is said that 60% of our body is made of water. The brain and the heart have 73% and the lungs 83% water. We need to drink a lot of water every day to sustain that amount and keep our bodies healthy.

It makes sense to me that our hearts and brains have more water than most of our bodies.

In John 7 verse 38, Jesus said, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

That ‘living water’ within us is holy if it is from God. We have to take in that water daily to keep ourselves as pure as possible.

There is a song I heard the other day on the radio. The very first words caught me as I drove to work. Every day I need God so much. He should be like living water, holy water, in me and on my lips and skin.

I fail at this every single day.

Thankfully, He does not let me dry up but keeps His water flowing in my heart, brain, and body.

Praise Him!
