The Game

When I was growing up, I loved to play board games. I still love to play them!

Yesterday, in our Bible class, the teacher used the analogy that life is like this: we think we have it all together, then someone flips over the game board and all the pieces go flying!

This is so true! Many days we go along thinking we have it all together, that we know everything there is to know about God, then without warning, our lives are turned upside down.

But Who is the One who can put the game pieces back into place? Who is the One that can straighten the game board? Who is the One that can make a do-over and begin again?

Only God can do this. We have to rely on Him and put our faith in the One that holds today and tomorrow. There is nothing else! Only God can put things right, one piece at a time.

Sometimes the pieces can get broken, but God can heal them. He uses whatever and whomever He wants to right each piece. This is what He does for us every second of every day.

After all, we are all just broken pieces in this game of life!
