We all search for something sometime in our lives. We search for people, lost things and answers. Sometimes our searching turns into nothing and sometimes our searching yields a great find.
The most important search anyone can ever do is for God. I don’t know about you, but I see people everyday searching for Him. They try to find God in other people, drugs or alcohol, or other things. I admit sometimes I am searching for Him too.
We are all searching for happiness and contentment. We all need to come to realize that we will never reach it without God. He is the only way we can get true fulfillment in this life. Anything without Him we find that gives us any kind of happiness will be fleeting and disappear at some point. People will leave us or die. Things will get lost or quit working. Drugs and alcohol, well, we all know how that usually turns out.
God rejoices in the one that finds Him. He rejoices in the one that comes to Him. We need to help ourselves and others find Him. We can be an example, and we can witness to others.
If you are searching, know this. God is always there waiting on us. He never leaves us no matter where we go searching. He waits patiently for us to turn around and say, “Oh! There you are! Finally!!”
